Mercy
MERCY APOO
Mercy was born on 28th /December /1999 in pallisa District. It is unfortunate but her father denied responsibility before she was born and disappeared from the village. Mercy’s mother, being a frustrated young single mother faced it hard to nurture her child. When life became harder, she remarried and thought her current husband would love and care for her daughter, but it did not work. He mistreated this child and she was taken to stay with her grandmother who also had a large number of grandchildren, yet she is just a peasent. Life became hard for Mercy as she became sickly and could not access medication and it was becoming a history in her life.
Mercy’s grandmother frequently came to our offices seeking for assistance because Mercy’s life was very poor and she had failed to take care of her. We brought her to the children’s home and treated her.
Right now she is healthy and living a happy life. And also she is in school in Grade three with a very good conduct and very social.
Mercy wants to become a nurse in future.
