ABEDI
ABEDI EGUGU
Abedi was born on 7th /July/2006 in a Muslim Family with his young brother Karim. At the age of two years Abedi’s father died. His mother became a wandering widow since she did not know the exact origin of her late husband. They moved to a slum area in Pallisa District and were helped by a good Samaritan who gave them a leaking grass thatched house to stay.
They slept on the floor with one old bed sheet to cover themselves. His mother who had nothing to do started to move from home to home to provide labour in exchange of food and this made them to have three meals in a week.
Abedi became malnourished and stunted in growth. It was through our bible clubs that we conducted in their village, we identified the need to help, we brought him to our children’s home and was put on nutrition therapy.
Abedi is now healthy and living a happy life. He is in Nursery and doing well in class, he is of good conduct and likes playing football.
Abedi wants to become a doctor in future.
